Yorkshire RFU Recruiting – U18 Girls County Coaching Team 2026–27
Yorkshire RFU is looking for three passionate and committed volunteer coaches to join our Under 18 Girls County Coaching Team for the 2026–27 season and play an important role in developing the next generation of players across Yorkshire.
We are recruiting for:
Lead Coach – Yorkshire U18 Girls
The Lead Coach will lead and coordinate the U18 Girls coaching team, working alongside the Team Manager to plan and deliver the coaching programme throughout the 2026–27 season.
The role includes leading player development, evaluating coaching sessions and matches, providing feedback to players, parents and the wider coaching team, and helping ensure the programme supports players progressing through the RFU performance pathway.
Forwards Coach – Yorkshire U18 Girls
Working alongside the Lead Coach and wider coaching team, the Forwards Coach will help plan, prepare and deliver coaching sessions throughout the 2026–27 season, designed to develop the skills, understanding and performance of players within the U18 Girls squad.
The successful applicant will attend trials, coaching sessions and matches and contribute to the evaluation and continued development of the programme and its players.
Backs Coach – Yorkshire U18 Girls
The Backs Coach will work with the Lead Coach and coaching team to plan and deliver sessions throughout the 2026–27 season that develop the skills and understanding of players within the U18 Girls squad.
The role involves attending trials, training sessions and matches, evaluating sessions and games alongside the Lead Coach and players, and supporting the overall County Team coaching programme.
Who are we looking for?
- For all three positions, applicants should hold RFU Coaching Level 2 or above, have a strong understanding of the RFU performance pathway and hold a current enhanced DBS.
- We are looking for coaches who are passionate about rugby and player development, can motivate and inspire young players, communicate effectively and work positively as part of a wider coaching and management team.
- These are significant volunteer commitments involving evenings, weekends, training, matches and travel across the districts. Appointments are for a two-year term, subject to annual review, with a further two years available.
