Now that our season has finished (4th May) and we move into the summer activity, can all clubs please follow the age grade out of season guidance in Reg 15.8 and relating to tours in Reg 15.9.
We have had a number of incidents reported to ourselves regarding player, parents and coaches’ behaviours at tournaments, and last season Police Investigations relating to complaints received during tours, and team presentations.
Unfortunately, the work of Safeguarding doesn’t stop over the summer, and we will hopefully have some time to catch up on some of our administration, before the start of preseason. Please ensure coaches are aware that the players remain in this age grade until the 5th Sept, when the new season starts. We will again Require ALL coaches to be attached to a team on GMS, have a current DBS, current Safeguarding E-Learning, and Concussion awareness training (all available from the 1st July).
All age grade and club dispensations will need to be reapplied for.
Most of all thank you for all your hard work over the season, the phone calls and conversations ensure we are not hiding problems. Have a good summer.
