Yorkshire Combined Police 56 - 17 Yorkshire Ambulance Service
The inaugural emergency services match was played at Doncaster Knights, Castle Park ground in typical Yorkshire weather conditions, in front of a packed crowd.
The ball was like a bar of soap however the play from Yorkshire Police Rugby was clean and crisp.
Early tries from the rapid wingers in the cops team, as a result of tight controlled graft in the middle third of the pitch set the tone for a dominant display against a spirited YAS team.
The Police team built momentum throughout the game playing intelligently with phase play from the forwards, drawing defenders in before rapidly working the ball back out wide for the backs.
Storming runs from the centres put holes in the YAS defence which caused chaos. This was capitalised on by the team who supported outstandingly especially from the back row, to keep the momentum going forward.
29 players in total for Yorkshire combined police made themselves available and all had a minimum of half a game.

The next game is yet to be confirmed, however its looking like a Festive Christmas game on Saturday 28 December against Mosborough at Mosborough RUFC.
