Paying our respects
We’d like to add our condolences in respect of the passing of Jim Kilfoyle to those already so well-articulated by many across our game in Yorkshire.
What’s apparent is that Jim was always a loved and respected teacher, coach, leader, and friend. From the playing fields of Hull & East Riding to the Premiership boardroom, he was liked and admired by those he met.
And he put our County right at the top of the national pile, leading teams to County championships twice.
He made a massive contribution at Wakefield, Rotherham, where he led the Club to the Premiership and later stabilised it during difficult times in 2004, and at Sandal, his final rugby home.
We’re grateful for his contribution to rugby in our County and thankful for his friendship.
