‘Say it, Play it, Plan It, Do it for Yorkshire’
2023/24 Yorkshire RFU Club Conference

This is an invitation to all member clubs in the County to the 2023/24 Yorkshire RFU Club Conference at Doncaster RFC on Friday 29th September 2023

As the constituent body for the County, we would like all clubs to attend, contribute and be involved in developing the future vision for Yorkshire rugby.

Agenda
The event will be held in the afternoon of 29th September, from 12:30pm, with keynote speakers, discussions on club development needs, player pathway, and future vision of Yorkshire rugby and how the county works more closely together.

Keynote speakers confirmed so far include Sir Ian McGeechan OBE and Jason Robinson OBE. In addition, there will be discussions on club needs and challenges, as well as presentations from the Yorkshire rugby pathways.

Following the conference, there will be an opportunity for networking, food and then watch the Premiership Cup fixture of Doncaster Knights vs Bristol Bears.
A more detailed agenda will be circulated in due course.

Objectives for the Day
This is a fantastic opportunity to revive the fortunes of rugby union teams, players, and supporters throughout the county of Yorkshire, explore with guest clubs what their thoughts are and what they feel would be achievable and to hear and determine the power of Yorkshire as a county and as a rugby brand.

• To understand clubs’ development needs over the next 1-2 Years
• To understand and get input from the clubs for their vision for the future of Rugby in Yorkshire
• To understand what we could achieve by getting clubs to work more closely together.
• To create to excitement about Yorkshires future in Rugby
• To bring all clubs together as a cohesive unit
• To encapsulate the plan forward under the banner ‘Say it, Play it, Plan It, Do It for Yorkshire’.
• To enjoy a day together plus meal and match to achieve friendship and determination in the true spirit of rugby.

To maximise the success of the event we need every club to attend and contribute, so we need you!
Invites are for a maximum of four representatives from each club. This ideally should be from a cross section of your club i.e., the men’s, women’s, and age grade roles, as well as club leadership/golden roles.

The whole of the conference, hospitality and match entry is free to conference attendees, and to register please book tickets via the Eventbrite email invite sent to all clubs.

If any attendee has dietary requirements, please let us know so we can plan the catering accordingly.

Please put the date in your diary, discuss with your club leadership re: attendees, and register your attendance on the Eventbrite page. Further information will be sent directly to registered attendees as the event approaches.
