Wanted, enthusiastic volunteers to join our highly successful County Teams team.
Our aim is to provide county rugby across all age grades and create lasting memories for all that take part in the programs.
We require a County Teams Development (CTD) Secretary to work with CTD Chair in arranging, organising and liaising with County Teams management teams. The main commitment is 3 meetings a season and possibly 1 hour a week working with CTD teams.
Under 17’s, U18’s Chair/Manager. We would, if possible, prefer for the same team to work with both programs as it will help with future pathways, especially with the U17s at end of season as they will be U18s the following year.
The under U18s program is December-January. The U17s program is at the end of season April-May. The main commitment is to attend 3 meetings a year and issue reports on progress of the program.
The U18s will have 2-3 development selection sessions on a Sunday and 3 training nights on a Friday plus 3 playing opportunities on a Sunday.
The County Office will take care of transport and assist with the planning of home fixtures.
You will be working with the coaches to identify a vast array of talent in Yorkshire and put together a playing squad to fulfil county fixtures.
The U17s is slightly different as it is the ERDP program and the main task will to be to arrange playing opportunities at the end of the season.
The U20s manager will work with the Chair, coaches and management to identify players as above.
This season the Jason Leonard Cup Competition has been changed to fall in line with the Senior Men and Senior Women’s Championships at the end of season.
The main commitments will be to organise training with the coaches, manage players in respect of notifying players regarding training/playing and assist with selection.
The program is unknown at time of writing; possibly 3-4 training development days, 2 pool games and Quarter Final and Semi-final Final over a 6–8 week period.
If you are interested in any of the above positions, please register your interest with the County Office by emailing adminsecretary@yorkshirerfu.co.uk and I will arrange an informal call leading to a possible face to face meeting.
Please remember:
As volunteers we don't get paid because we are worthless; it is because we are priceless.
Yours in Sport
