We’re really pleased to share our five-year strategic plan with you. Working with over 80 different representatives from our clubs, our coaches, our players, our match officials, our County administrators and from England Rugby, we’ve developed a strategy that gives clear purpose and structure to all of our activity.
We’ve agreed that our goal is to support and develop Rugby Union for the enjoyment of everyone and we have plans to achieve that goal that are aligned to our objectives of Welfare, Enjoyment, Diversity and Inclusion, Engaging, Fulfilling Potential and Sustainable. You'll be hearing a lot more about each of these objectives over the coming weeks and months.
We’ve also identified three principles that will shape how we achieve our goals, and these are People First, Open to all and Innovative. We, of course, already have our values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.
You can see the detail of our plans in the diagram attached and we’ll also discuss this with you at a series of meetings we plan to hold with our District Committees.
This strategy is for everyone in rugby union in Yorkshire and we need your help in bringing it to life and in making these plans into actions that support and develop rugby union. We haven’t created it to put in a drawer and to forget about but for it to shape the decisions we make for the game we love.
We’d love to hear how you’re putting our purpose to work and supporting and developing Rugby Union for the enjoyment of everyone and we promise to provide you with regular updates on the progress we are making.
