Thank you to all CSO’s, coaches and volunteers who have attended their Play it Safe course this year. Yorkshire have again run the most courses in the region with a total of 402 people trained. This again shows our continued commitment to Safeguarding as a county.
The club Safeguarding audit is also now live on GMS, and we would appreciate an early completion of this, to avoid chasing clubs closer to the closing date.
As the season approaches and clubs start to look towards preparing, can I please ask that all clubs run a training report from GMS and check that all coaches are attached to the correct age groups, those that are no longer coaching are removed, and all DBS’s are current or applied for; this will hopefully avoid clubs being rejected for applications to play out of their own age grade.
I am unavailable from the 11th July to the 22nd July. If anyone has any urgent concerns, please contact the RFU Safeguarding team (safeguarding@rfu.com), who will be able to assist.
Regards
