OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION
RFU ROSE AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO THE GAME
We are delighted to share the presentation of the RFU Rose Award to our very own Allan Secker, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the game.
The RFU Rose Award honours individuals who have made an exceptional national contribution, whether in a volunteer or professional capacity. Recipients are recognised for sustained excellence at a national level and are individuals of the highest integrity, with exemplary records both within and beyond rugby.
Allan Secker is celebrated for over four decades of distinguished service to age-grade rugby. Since achieving his Senior RFU Coach Award in 1985, Allan has coached with distinction across Yorkshire and the North Division, before progressing to national roles with England Colts U19s and England U18s. He later served with great distinction as both Vice Chair and Chair of England Selector Boards, contributing invaluable experience and leadership at the highest levels of the player development pathway.
In addition to his coaching and selection roles, Allan has had a profound impact on the national player pathway through his involvement in key working groups and the development of essential national documents underpinning selection, feedback and appraisal processes. His influence has helped to strengthen the structure of the game from grassroots to international level, and his guidance has supported countless players and coaches throughout their journeys.
Allan has devoted much of his life to the service of rugby, and his dedication has played a significant role in shaping the pathway that continues to support the next generation of England players.
