Requesting donations on entry for the Darren Reynolds Memorial Foundation

Darren was a stalwart of the game and had been instrumental in its growth and development throughout the County for a number of years. He is missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Darren was a huge personality within the community rugby world. His love and enthusiasm for the sport and the amateur game was second to none. His kind, caring and bubbly personality along with his outstanding sense of humor and knowledge of the sport, meant that he was extremely well thought of and respected by those that coached and played with him. But ultimately, it was the players he coached that he had the biggest impact on.

The Darren Reynolds Memorial Foundation
The Darren Reynolds Memorial Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that is currently under set up by 2 of Darren’s sons (Ben and Josh).
The purpose of the foundation is to help and support struggling children and families to ensure that they have the relevant support to keep them in sport at whatever level they desire to participate. This was something Darren was passionate about, always doing his part to keep the players that he coached in the game of rugby. We will help provide boots, kit and any other required costs to children that need that extra help.
Darren always wanted to help everyone, and was a huge believer in trying to make rugby as inclusive as possible, so the aim of the Memorial Foundation is to continue supporting this cause.

Initially, the funds will be held in the Sandal RUFC M&J Account while we are in the process of officially registering the foundation. Our starting point will be to help people in the club that he had so much passion for. As we grow as an organisation, we are hoping to open the fund up to the wider rugby community, and further onto other sports.
