Established in 2021, the Yorkshire Centre of Excellence will identify and develop girls who have the potential to develop and progress through the England Rugby development pathway.

The girls will meet throughout the winter and we have sessions planned until the end of April. We'd like to thank Bishop Burton, Ossett RUFC, Wetherby RUFC, Old Crocs RUFC, Wetherby RUFC, Sheffield RUFC and York RUFC for hosting Centre of Excellence development sessions.
We've got a group of incredibly talented coaches, apppointed the support the girls and they are:
Luke Pendlebury - Lead coach and safeguarding lead
Luke is a level three coach, has a BSc in sport coaching and also works with Sheffield Ladies RUFC
Vicki Greensmith - Safeguarding and team manager
Vicki works with Sandal Girls and is the team manager for the Yorkshire Girls U18s Team
Gary Haywood - Coach
Gary is completing the England Rugby Advanced Coaching Award and also work with Sandal Girls and coaches the Yorkshire Girls U15 Team
Rob Blanden - Coach
Rob is level two coach and he also supports the boys' ERDPP in North Yorkshire
Evan Woodworth - Coach
Evan is completing the England Rugby Advanced Coaching Award, has an MSc in sport coaching and is head of Women's Rugby at Bishop Burton
Stephen Roberts - Coach
Stephen coaches the boys' Yorkshire U15s and ERDPP, played army rugby for 8 years and is currently completing the England Rugby Advanced Coaching Award
Neil Davies - Coach
Neil is currently completing the England Rugby Advanced Coaching Award, coached the Yorkshire Girls U15s Team and supports the boys' ERDPP
Megan Dugdale - Assistant coach
Meghna captains Sheffield Ladies First XV, play Yorkshire senior rugby and has won the Gill Burns Trophy
